Please forgive me it has been a very busy last few months over November and December here at King of Discos HQ. I hope you have had a fantastic christmas and wish you and yours well for 2010. Im hoping to be able to make an exciting announcement on Monday after a meeting in the am! (that means in the morning). I am at Crabwall Manor Hotel tonight for Mike and Gails Wedding Reception I have been there many times before its a beautiful venue and im looking forward to it, see you there if your on the list!

Congratulations to my friends Jenny and Mark, it is their big day today! They are to be married at a beautiful church in Bunbury, Chester, Cheshire and then we are off to Carden Park for the wedding reception im attending as a guest and am also their wedding dj for the reception. I will post some pictures over the weekend looking forward to it hope the weather is nice!

I am also at the holiday inn tomorrow for a wedding so a good weekend ahead. Looking forward to getting people up off their bums should be fun!

Since mid August I have been the Wedding DJ for Emma and Simon’s special day in at the Holiday Inn Chester, worked with a fantastic singer for a 50th Wedding Anniversary and been over to Manchester to DJ for the wedding of Victoria and Andrew which was a brilliant night I have the pictures to prove it! Victoria’s family are Armenian and gave me some Armenian and Arabic music to play which went down a storm, her Dad is a brilliant guy giving a very funny speech, one of those fantastic people that im lucky enough to meet on my travels.

Victoria booked me after attending her friend Natalie’s wedding where I was the DJ I had some great feedback from Natalie as well that was another top night! Here is what Natalie had to say about the evening.

“Hi Mike,

What a day! we had a wonderful wedding day and thank you for making it such a great evening of music! the guests and staff loved it. Thank you so much for carrying on to 1am. The staff commented that you were the best DJ they had heard and the dance floor was packed, you did everything we had asked for and responded well to everyones wants! My friend Victoria has booked you for her wedding in September, I look forward to another great evening!”

Had a very busy weekend. Friday saw me at Emma and Simon’s wedding much dancing ensued and everyone had a wonderful time! Saturday was a surprise 50th golden wedding anniversary I was honoured to be the DJ for Margaret and Malcolm’s celebration. It was organised by their daughter Bernadette and was a wonderful occasion, a relative of the families Clive was scheduled to sing and did about 3 twenty minute slots he was excellent although in his seventies now and retired from the singing circuit he has not lost his touch he was fantastic!

I also received an email from Nicola and Keith over the weekend with some kind comments and thanks for my services at their wedding a couple of weeks ago. It was a great evening and everyone was really up for it so I had an easy night as they were up dancing from the off! Below is the email they sent me its always fantastic to hear back from people im so glad they had a wonderful evening.

Hi Mike,

Just wanted to say a big thankyou for rocking our night do on 7th August. You certainly did as promised and got bums off seats and onto the dance floor! Everyone has said they had a brilliant night. We have kept your card and would not hesitate to recommend you.

You should see I have added a facebook fan page widget!! delightful im sure you will agree. In other news I have registered some wedding related domain names that will keep me busy for the foreseeable days/months!

I seem to be addicted to buying domain names I must have about 40 now. Ok I admit it “My name is Michael and im an addict”.  Bedtime now im tired mwh and I had a rather exhausting gym workout earlier and its past 1am now, I can tell im writing drivel again.  g’night jon-boy.

I have been searching Twitter to get an opinion on peoples views of DJs at Weddings and other events. It seems there are some BAD ones about! I’m interested in hearing stories and experiences so we can learn and improve, that’s gotta be good right? Anyway if you would like to tweet about your experience and how the DJ could have made it better I would encourage you to use the hash tag #BADDJ im not sure if you can register #tags on Twitter or not I looked into it but didnt come up with much so apologies if somebody is already using #BADDJ lets put on our #BADDJ super hero underpants (over our trousers) and together we can make a brighter future for DJ Entertainment.
